Hey Nan, I was just thinking about you and the wedding. So glad it all went well. Sounds like you had a great time. Congratulations to Matt and his bride.

Pictures????

Yes, that is one of Aaron's complaints also....to many hours. That's pretty normal for the nukes....first on and last off!!!

Speaking of getting off the boat, Aaron's time is done on the Columbia :( He is headed for shore duty. He will be going to New York again as an instructor for Proto Type. I can't believe his 3 years in Hawaii are over.

He will be home at the end of this month for a few weeks :) then off to NY he goes.

This has been a great group, I will still check in on everyone once in a while.

Stay cool everyone.

Just stopping in to see how everyone is doing? I guess things are settled down now for the guys. No news is good news. Hope everyone had a good 4th.

The group is "Sub Moms" I believe the aviators are just the pictures that represent the members. There is a lot of good information on the group for subs in general. Just start right at the top of the page.

Welcome NicksMom! I've been having trouble with my first emails to the boat, too.  If I get one to go through, I'll share whatever I learned.  Did you read all the avitars on the Submarine Group page? It was very helpful in many ways.

Welcome NicksMom, yes they are out and about, I think this is going to be a crazy out for the guys. Lots of testing for the whole boat. We need to wish them all the best.

My son was also in NY for prototype. He may be heading back that way soon, as his 3 1/2 years of sub duty will be up and he will be ready for shore duty. We have family in Cambridge NY and Mass. So we are familiar with that area. It is beautiful there.

As far as email, I believe they makeup the first part before the @. This trip out I don't expect any communications due to them being very busy. But you never know.

If you have any questions feel free to ask, someone here usually has an answer. Or if you just need to vent, I'm always checking here.

Thanks, Claudia! That is a comfort to know. I like the idea of numbering them, too!

Lisa, No you are not late. You can send email anytime, it's just that they may not receive it right away. I believe there are just certain times they receive mail. You can send 3 or 4 over the course of the time and they may just receive them all at once. I usually number them so if that happens he can read them in order.

Yikes- I read about how to send emails to your Sailor when they are underway, but am not sure if they must be recieved prior to their leaving, and  if I just address it as they say to ---@columbia.navy.mil .  Am I too late to send something?
