Hey, we are up to 30 members!  I'm a little sad that I can't send my sailor an Easter basket this year (yes, I am that mom that sends my 20-something-year-old children Easter baskets!).  His PO Box expired during their last tour and he never set up another one.  It just seems so odd to me that he can exist without a mailing address.  I hope they get some sort of treat on Sunday, where ever they are.  If you celebrate the holiday, then Happy Easter! If you don't, then have a great spring weekend!

NavyMom- I did laugh out loud and can completely relate! While I do have an en suite, the irony is that for the last 13 years we have lived in our house, all three of our children have used it to shower or bathe in because they do not like the main bath lol! My bath is all white tile and grout(or used to be, sigh) and I have frankly given up on ever getting it clean! Someday I will joyfully rip ever last white tile up and replace it with something close to dirt color lol! But by the time I get around to doing it, the kids will
be gone and maybe I can reclaim my once white bathroom again lol! Sorry to hear that you are still having to deal with snow. We just made it through the worst winter in my memory! So glad that it is over. We like to say we only "invite" winter to stay for six weeks, but he definitely overstayed his welcome this year lol!

Eaglefan - not so much ambitious as fed up!  The truth is, and I hope this visual brings laughter to your day, I have long thick hair and in order to get it to dry completely before work, I have to flip it over my head so I am hanging upside down.  That position puts my face close enough to the floor to have that dirty grout staring me right in the eye.  I tell you this at the risk of being considered a house cleaning failure - but it's more about the house (and grout) being 35 years old and four people using that bathroom on a regular basis.  I was not blessed with an  en suite bathroom, so it's the one and only on the main floor.  And now I have to admit that while I purchased the grout renew product on Saturday, I did not actually get to the renewing part, so I'm hoping for this weekend.  It is snowing again today (have mercy!) so there is still no rush for yard work!

Wow! NavyMomLG -you are very ambitious! I wish I could be disciplined enough to clean my grout. We have had beautiful weather lately until the last two days. I have not wanted to clean one thing in my house lol! I got flower beds cleaned out and ready for annuals, but so glad I didn't give in and plant some last week since we've been in the twenties the last couple nights. Hope you get some nice weather to get to those outside projects! Nothing like enjoying Spring and getting your hands in the dirt again!

Hello ladies, it's been awhile!  I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying some spring weather.  We finally had one full week with temperatures above 50 degrees so most of the snow is gone, finally!  I'm looking forward to putting indoor projects on hold and getting back outside.  Too wet yet this weekend so I am going to clean grout in my bathroom as my big finale!  Have a great weekend!

My thoughts are going out to all of you who are being hit by the storm today.  Haven't heard from my son about the impact on Kings Bay, but I know several of you live in the south east.  Take care and stay safe!

my husband is on blue crew and he says as of right now they can be brought on boat but only on the specified date to bring electronics but it could change.
Comment by AmyTX on January 24, 2014 at 6:42pm

Eaglefan, I don't think they can take those things but you will be able to email and he will probably get to call you maybe once or twice.  His email address should be his last name first and middle name initial@alaska-blue.navy.mil if he is on the gold crew it would be gold.navy.mil

Anyone know if blue crew can take iPhones or iPads on boat?
