Dear Lin,
My son, Jeremy, has shore duty for the next three years, but he and his family are still at Kingsland, Ga. I would be grateful if you took over the group since your son is still attached to the Alaska. Really, Lin, when I first joined the Navy Moms, I asked if there was a group for the Alaska Blue. I was told no, but you can start one. So, I did, but I wasn't too sure about what to do. I looked around at the other groups and thought that maybe I could do this. I tried to keep conversation going and announced what I could, mostly I tried to support the women. I believe you can make this site what you have time for. Let me know what you think.
Dear Alaska women,
Since my son is no longer on the Alaska and is assigned to another duty, I will no longer be able to run this group, not that I did such a great job before. Is there anyone who will be able to take over this group?? I have certainly enjoyed the ride with all of you. :>) Thank you!!!!!
Hey Alaska Mom, Our guy certainly deserve praise for their accomplishments. Yeah Alaska!!!!!!!
SUBRON 20 (Kings Bay, Ga.) - USS Alaska (SSBN 732) (Blue), commanded by Cmdr. Kevin Byrne, and USS Alaska (SSBN 732) (Gold) commanded during the competition by Cmdr. Robert Wirth and Cmdr. Cory Jackson.
Merry Christmas fellow submarine families! Heading to Pensacola to spend Christmas with my two sailors!
Dear Lin(Winston's Mom), I am glad you got to talk with your son; it helps especially when you haven't heard his voice for several months. Enjoy your time with him.
I live so far from my son that I don't get to spend the holidays with him and his family, but it great to know he is home with his family. I can talk with him until I get down to Georgia to see him.
Merry Christmas!!
Lin(Winston's Mom) I am so happy that you heard from your son; it sure makes a difference!
Merry Christmas to you and yours!!
