Just got an email from my son!!! It was dated September 9, and he said he has received my emails 2 and 5 but not 1, 3 or 4 (I write every Sunday and number them in the subject line).  He also said he hopes "these are making it to land" so it sounds like he has written others I just haven't gotten yet.  His says he is close to finishing his qualifications, and it has pretty much been eat, work, study, clean and sleep.  I am pretty sure I will be floating through the rest of my day with a great big smile on my face! Hope you all hear something soon too.

No text for me, I'm guessing that's a wife benefit I don't get as just the mom ;)  Congratulations kimberly2, and best of luck to you tylers-wife!  I hope you have found some activities to help keep your kiddos busy.

No we can't be there when the sub comes in. We will get a message from our ombudsmen about their return once they are pierside. After they get all settled our guys will have the opportunity to call us and tell us they are back and I always ask what duty day he got so I know about when he would be coming home. You can't go see them until they call you saying they need picked up

awww, i'm 3 months pregnant and can't wait for them to be home!  Question though, does anyone know if we can go to kingsbay when they get back or how that works?  can we be there when the sub comes in?   or how exactly does that work?

I got the text. If I'm not mistaking when they surface for mail drop they should send emails or at least that's how it was other deployments. I hope so anyways

Hey ladies!  I haven't heard anything back from my husband yet either.  Did you guys get a text about a maildrop?

Comment by NavyMomLG on September 17, 2013 at 3:29pm

I'm not even getting the postmaster emails, but my email service doesn't consistently filter.  I did get one after my second email, so since I didn't change anything in the address I will assume that they are going through when they can.  I hope someone hears something soon!
