Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I didn't see any roses with Daniel and Kate.  They were about 30 seconds in and the newscaster said 18 mo Leah...that was them.  I am glad it worked.

THANK YOU ALL for sharing the pictures and video from NBC.  I talked to my son for a quick minute yesterday.  So glad he is home.  Waiting for the DIL to post pictures that her mom took of their greeting our sailor.  But do so appreciate viewing yours.  YAY!   

Well, I will check in now and then but my Son will no longer be on the Alex.  It is his turn for land duty.  So glad that they are able to stay in Connecticut as they own a home there.  I know he will be going back to a sub after that.  Not sure where.  It has been great being able to talk with other Moms in the same situation.  Thanks to all the sailors for doing what they do so we can do what we do!

mainemom--your video worked!. and thanks for posting it!. Was that your son and DIL with the roses??..how beautiful. Also, i saw a photo of them on the slideshow i watched. It was a pic of them kissing with the roses. Its an awesome pic. I wish i could figure out how to post things better!..lol..im so happy, my son said it was unbelievable to him that they were there. he said it didnt seem real that it was actually happening..:). i can relax and put my feet up now,,,all is good again.:)

Hopefully this works. This is the link for the news clip.  Our son Daniel, his wife Kate and granddaughter Leah are in it. We were so excited.  Glad he is home.

i have these someone posted on FB...my son and his wife are the first one. its a slide show so i dont know how this is going to turn out...hopefully it posts..;)

Thank GOD!!!!...my DIL just called and was so HAPPY! All is right with the world again!...LOL...shes bummed because my son has DUTY!..but she is going to take dinner to him later. He said he was hungry for BBQ..:) Im so HAPPY!

Nope.  They came in on the other side of the pier and the garland was solid dark blue.
