Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

i found the photo on the internet.. photo from Dec 24th souda bay. i feel very lucky that my son is in the photo. :) he is sitting in front row  :) It was a great Christmas present!!!

Happy New Year to everyone. I hope our sons were able to celebrate, even a little..:) Im so happy its 2013, this is the year our boys come home!....we can finally start counting DOWN the days. I dont know if its just me, but the time seems to be going so SLOW. I dont even remember my 9 months of pregnancy (twice) going this slow!!!

That is the best way to look at things Holly...and for some of us the hardest way to see things too. I'm one of them. *But, with comments from positive people like you it helps us pessimists like me to take a different look at things. =)

Merry Christmas everybody! That's a great picture, thanks for posting it. My sailor called Christmas morn before we headed out of town for three days. He said he would call that evening again to our cell phones, but unfortunately there wasn't any cell phone service where we were. But lo & behold, somehow he was able to get through the next day for another good phone call.
