THANK YOU HOLLY FOR THE ENCOURANGING WORDS AND SUPPORT..
Thank you Gail for your encouraging wordst. It's stressful times like these that you and the other moms and family members of N4M's are a great help and a wonderful support group.
Has anyone heard from their Submariner recently? I haven't heard from my son in a while. In his past underways he has sent me e-mails more often. This time he has only sent one so far. But this is his first deployment. I know that the crew is busy doing their job and such. I just don't know if the Submariners have more to do while on deployment, than they would while underway. Does anyone have some insight?
Proudmom,
Could you please tell us what cannot be sent to our Submariners? Thank you for your help. -Rebecca
Proudmom (Tracie)
I forgot to ask you last time we talked, what material cannot be sent to our saliors? Thank you for your help, in advance. Sincerely, Rebecca
Hi Ginny,
You should be able to send your son letters via e-mail, though I've found out it usually takes a day or two be for son will get the e-mail. I don't know if the boat can receive regular mail or packages while they are underway. However, I found out they can get mail/package while on deployment. *Oh, if you haven't already you should get in contact with the Ombudsman. She will be able to answer all your questions. Tracie, the Ombudsman, was very helpful for me, and fortunately she is on this site too. If you scroll down this page you will see her information and how to contact her. Her user name here is Proudmom. I hope I helped you a little bit. -Rebecca
TGIF! I hope all you wonderful women have a wonderful weekend. We're already one week closer to their return. :)
Hi my name is Rebecca. My son Charley is on his first deployment. I would like to know if anyone knows how to contact the Omsbudsman?
Thanks Ladies! Can't wait to go visit my DIL and Grandson next month. We are flying into Providence RI, visiting with them, then driving down the coast to South Carolina for my Step-Son's wedding. Only going to be in CT for 2 or 3 days but it will be so worth it to see them.
