Glad you got to visit with your son ProudMom.  I've had a few SKYPE dates with my son and grandson.  Hope everyone is hanging in there.

Hi All....have not checked the site for a while :-(   Proudmom:  San Diego is a beautiful place if you ask me.  Maybe a trip to California might be in order!  lol

Well, we are now grandparents.  My sailor and DIL welcomed in their Son on May 17th.  I flew from CA to CT for a week.  It was hard to leave.  But today I SKYPED with the three of them :-)   I'll try to publish a picture when they get the prof. ones back.  Hope everyone has a great 4th of July (in case I don't get back..lol)

Proudmom...good for your son.  Getting something else under his belt

Tammy....you are so lucky to have them come and stay during the underways.  I had so hoped to be moved to, at least, the east coast before I got to be a gramma.  Dang housing market :-(

Hi all....thanks for the nice comments.  Due date is May 2nd.  We will not be coming out from California for the birth.  DIL Mom and Dad are just 3 hrs away so I believe they will have help.  We plan to make it out this summer.

Gail....when we went to Japan and stayed at the Navy Lodge on base, we were able to get a pass for us to come and go as we pleased without our sailor.  He had to make the Navy Lodge reservations and we had to pay in advance for the 2 week pass to be completed.  When we stayed at the Navy Lodge at Naval Air Base Lemoore here in California, same thing.  Good Luck.

Gail - When my son was single I never understood why the parents didn't get some of the benefits that the spouses get - like a pass on base.  Oh well, I don't think they count us :( .... haha.

Karyn - love the photo that you posted.  When is the due date?  My grandson is almost 4 months old now.  Its hard to believe, he is growing and changing fast! They hope to get leave in July to come home for about 2 weeks, and then my DIL and grandson does come to stay with us - during the long underways, which I love having them here!!

Glad to here everyone is doing well.

I need to recredit the photographer for the picture I posted. Her website is  www.desolaphotography.com" and she has a FB page - Des'ola Photography.

Just covering my rear end as I copied her picture.

It worked!  lol  Never posted a picture before.  Anyway, they  had professional pictures taken after he got home.  Thought I would share.  Should give credit to Des'ola Photography for the picture.  Seems a lot of the Navy wifes/couples are using her.  DIL is very happy with the results.  Des'ola did Navy Ball pictures for a few couples over the weekend.  So....pass the word on to your sailors and wifes if they are looking.

Thanks for listening and looking at picture.  I am a proud Navy Mom.

Hi All....I just looked and saw there were a couple of posts that I had missed :-(   Yes, glad they are home.  Hopefully the Navy won't decide to send them out before my first grand baby makes his way into the world.  Due date is coming up.  Fingers are crossed.
