Thank you Proudmom. No won't be seeing him over Christmas or New Years. We are in California and they are in Connecticut. Air fares are so high right now. They did have his Dad and all of my DIL family for Thanksgiving. Not sure what they will be doing for Christmas. I can only guess at this time and that would be going to NY to her parents home. Maybe a trip to CT in June/July after the baby is born. Enjoy your visit with your sailor!
Thank you Tammy and Holly.
CONGRATULATIONS Karyn!! That is awesome ... you have every reason to be proud and smile big!
Yay for your son Proudmom! I am also a Proud Mom. My son was honored the other night as Sailor of the Year for the USS Alexandria. I am smiling big!
CONGRATULATIONS! It is a great feeling and a great accomplishment!
oops that is *did no do
Yes, it do go fast! Depending on what the doctor says and how my daughter in law is progressing I plan to fly out the day after Christmas and stay for awhile till she has the baby and a week or so after. My daughter in law had told me that she told my son to invite your son over to Christmas dinner if he doesn't have duty.
My husband is still in Groton from the Tiger Cruise! He is spending a little quality time with our sailor and his wife - helping getting the nursery ready for our grandson. I think they have had a good time putting all the nursery furniture together. But I will be ready for him to get home! If things goes right - I will be out in Groton in just about a month to welcome my new grandson!
Congratulations to both sailors and families!!
Holly....hopefully the next time they do the cruise your ex can go. My sailor has been in since 1999 and this is the first time his Dad has gotten to do it. I'm hoping my husband, his step-dad will get to go sometime too. But he also has a father-in-law that I am sure wants to go. LOL Popular thing to do. This is a great group of ladies to talk exchange info with.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!
