Congrats to your son and to you too!   My ex got to go with our sailor on the Tiger Cruise also.  That is so awesome that they get to do it.  My sailor said his Dad won't get to see where he works tho because it is the engine room and it is off limits.  But will get to experience everything else.

Congrats Holly - My son was your sailors roommate before he got married, so he has helped him along and told me yesterday that he had completed them.  He is proud of him too.  My hubby is on board with them on the "Tiger Cruise" and is excited that he will get to see the 'pinning'.  I told him to be sure to take pictures!

Before the boat left Jimmy and Stephanie spent the day decorating the yard and house for Halloween.  She posted pictures of FB of all the snow in the yard.  It is a beautiful 78 degrees here in my part of California.  Can't believe you all have snow already.

drleeper...it is tight isn't it!  lol   I'm a rather large woman and was surprised myself.  It was quite an experience climbing down the ladder also!  Glad you got to visit your sailor.

@Holly....I know what you mean.  I am in California.  But it is just wonderful to hear his voice and sometimes see his face if we SKYPE :-)

@Gail....enjoy your weekend with your sailor.  Happy Birthday to him :-)

Finally got to talk to my sailor last night.  He had duty when they pulled in.  I don't know why but this time around was hard.  Seemed like they were gone forever and it was only a little over a month.   I hope you all have a great day.

I too have been thinking of you all back east.  Glad to read that most weathered the storm ok.  DIL finally got power last night.  Was without since last Saturday night.  I felt so helpless.  Don't know how she did it.  Luckily her student teaching was pushed out as the school did not have power either.  Thankfully everything can get back to normal now.

Hope everyone was able to stay safe from the storms that went through. My Daughter in law lost power for about 14 hours and hung out in the closet with the animals for awhile - but is doing well now.  Hope everyone else is doing as well.

Thanks Amanda!  She is real excited.  I just wish it was so dang expensive to fly out there - or I would be there too!  I think Brandy Herron is going with her.
