Thanks Janice & Karyn! Like I said I was shocked at first - but excited now - they will be home on leave in June - so at least we get to meet her before the wedding.

Janice - I hope you keep in contact too. I knew your son helped my sailor in the ring shopping - he said he was a great help! I knew he was shopping that day - but was a little surprised that I never got a call or pictures for advice - so you and your son - must have done a good job! Best of luck to your Sailor - as he goes out into the 'real world'!

Congrats to your son and DIL Tammy.  Wow, that is some exciting news.   Can't wait to hear more details as they happen.

Ah Janice....I hope you stay in contact.  I will miss your posts.  Happy for your

son.  I hope he gets all he wants in life.  Thank him for his service.  Without our soldiers we might not be able to be free to do what we do.

Well ladies, I guess the news is out.... My sailor is getting married on July 16th in Providence, RI.  He meet this girl right before he deployed last May they communicated during deployment then started dating when he came back.  We were a little shell shocked at first - but we are doing ok with it now and excited and ready to meet our daughter-in-law to be.  Also it seems that I am going to be a Grammy in January - Boy he sure likes to shock me all at once!! But it is all ok! :)

Janice...glad to hear you are ok.  Reading bits and pieces in the paper, it sounds like it was a bad one.

Happy belated Easter everyone.  Mine had duty on Easter Day so I did not get to talk to him.  Hopefully I will get a call today.  Life has been pretty uneventful.  Take care everyone.

YAY Janice!  That is exciting!  I wish him all the luck as he starts his new path of life.  I feel the same way with my sailor.  If he doesn't reenlist - which I doubt he does - I am proud of the man he has become - thanks to the Navy, I'm sure your sailor will do great as he starts his new path!

Wow...for them to meet her was an added plus to their NYC visit!

Glad to hear they had a good time in NYC.    That is a great place to visit.  I wonder how they got to meet Christie Brinkley...that would be fun.  Can't wait to hear how the reenlistment ceremony went.
