If you believe in the legend of  Groundhog Day, Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow and thus SPRING is just around the corner!

Be careful out there!  I heard on the news that we got about 8 inches of snow with 2+ foot drifts.  Our major road problems is the drifting.  The schools and colleges and some businesses are closed again tomorrow. No power flickers - but we managed to miss the ice.

I thought this was all a "weather media hype" but it has actually been snowing here all day, wind blowing at 34 mph - and big drifts.  The clinic I work at - closed at 3:00 and alot of business are closed. So maybe it's not a "hype" after all! haha We can't tell how much snow we actually have because of the wind and drifts!!

Not looking forward to this week's forecast.  I threw out my back shoveling in the last storm.

We had 75 degrees yesterday and very COLD today - we are getting all kinds of text alerts on a winter storm watch too.  But we have nothing yet!  It is insane!!  But we have yet to have a major storm this winter.  I feel for those that dealt with this all winter!

Yes, I agree Janice!  We have a RI Spring Flower & Garden Show held at the Providence Convection Center the week of February 24-27.  Since it is February school vacation, I must go and change this winter scenery!

drleeper, sorry of the lost of your son's friend.  Will keep the family and close friends in our prayers.

In RI,  we have the same snow total accumulations as Groton.  We now have 4 school make-up days.  This will bring us to June 20 as our last day of the school year.  I'm sure this will change with Wednesday's storm.

So sorry to hear about the young man.  I will keep the family in my thoughts.

I saw some pictures of all the snow you are getting in Connecticut.  Can't imagine dealing with it daily.
