Karyn - Glad she got to go. That would be cool to be able to do. I'm on countdown and getting pretty excited about the homecoming.

Well my DIL got home last night from meeting the boat in Cypress. She got the First Kiss, but then again, there were only 3 women to visit the boat! lol I am so happy she was able to go.

I am getting excited for everyone who is going to the homecoming!

Janice - Yes we did have a good trip to Houston and enjoyed spending time with my Aunt & Uncle & Cousin. Yeah, Brandon is more than "done" too!! He is hoping to be finished with his dolphins by this next Monday. He is more than ready to be done with that!! Don't be surprise if some of their plans happens..... Brandon is the type to make things he really wants happen. I'm excited and more than ready for my next trip! :)

Janice - Just wanted to let you know that you did a good job on raising your sailor - he loaned his phone to my son so he could call home! My son bought some minutes for the phone - but still we appreciate him helping him out to call home. So Thank You too!!

Holly...how exciting for your son. I got a SKYPE call from my son and his wife. She and a couple other ladies were there to meet the boat at their port of call. My sailor is enjoying a little down time. Nice hotel they are staying at too! lol

Holly - We are flying in from KS to surprise our son at the homecoming! She can email me at tjvanderpool@cox.net or I'm sure Amanda can help her out with details too - she has been a great help to us. The best way to get her on base at this point would probably be by the other son.

Amanda, I know when my son was Frocked with his 3rd class early on in the deployment he said that the boat photographer took a picture that he can get from him. So hopefully that was the same for this time around too.
