OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Amanda - I will try to email a couple of recipes tonight, too. We made a cook book at work a few years ago for a charity event - it was alot of fun. Thanks for keeping us informed.

Thanks for the link. I completed the application. Waiting for approval. But for the life of me, I don't know how they will link my name (I've remarried) to my sailors name to know I belong. We will see :)

I agree with Jeanne - it must be imaginary! At least - It's just not just me.

Karyn - I'm with you I tried all of that too on the bigtent.com sight and got nada. Help is appreciated from anyone that uses that sight! I'm in Vegas now with my daughter on a business trip (for her).l'm having a good time - but Vegas is NOT my scene - I would rather cruise! Talked to my sailor this morning - sounds like a hang out and wait and wait and wait for them. He didn't think this would delay there homecoming, but who knows!!!

Sorry.....still can't locate the group in the Big Tent. Found USS Comstock group. I look under Alexandria Family Support Group, USS Alexandria etc. I think this is why I never joined a couple years ago. I never could get it. So any further detailed help would be appreciated. Thanks.
