That is how I read it too abdill778. Pretty kool for those on board the day she toured the boat. Congrats to those who advanced! We all have to be proud of our sailors for what they do. Feeling sort of sentimental this weekend!

Morning ladies! I will see if I can find that article - would like to read it. I have had about 3 or 4 emails from my son. He too made his rank up to Petty Officer 3rd class. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Gail, I'm a scrapbooker too, so far my son has been good to give his camera to someone to snap a picture for me - and he is great to keep on of his orders, papers, etc... for me. I'm like you I HATE to miss anything in person that is a milestone in my kids lives.

Janice - we are from Kansas - so not my son - I think he told me his sea dad is from TN (?) is like 21 and married. My son is 22, just a good ole' country boy from Kansas. He said he is called "Dorothy" on the boat (for obvious reason... being from KS). Brandon's goal is to come back from this trip with his dolphins

Hi Jancie! Thanks for the welcome. I'm sure my son does know your son - because yes he is working on his dolphins and is crankin right now.

Thanks for the Welcome and the reminder. I'm pretty new to the military life - so I appreciate the hints and tips to help to deal with everything. My son has been in for only 10 months.

Hi Everyone - My name is Tammy and I am new to this group. My son is a newbie on the Alexandria - he is a TM just finished school in March - so this is his first assignment. Thought this group might help me figure things out.
