Hey...thanks Gail for posting. Glad you were able to meet a couple of our group. Your picture of your son and husband is just awesome. Look at those smiles :O)

Ahhh Janice. I feel for you. My sailor seemed to be ok when I talked to him last night. He said he had done all the yards and organized downstairs, built bookcase etc. In talking to him, it seemed like he was memorizing the moments by walking around looking at things while we were talking. I just hope my DIL gets busy quickly and just doesn't think about the time.

I will just wait for the next phone call :)

Yes, I got an amazing ring from Tiffany's :) I will be there on Friday with Peyton, the 14 month old that I nanny for. Drew is locking all his stuff in his truck in the deployment car lot. What time are you heading down? It's going to be a rough day!!

Hi All...things have been quiet on my end. My sailor and his bride finally took that honeymoon and it wasn't visiting mom! lol They went to Barbados and had a week they will always remember. Spared no expense. Now they are back in CT being homeowners and getting everything done to make it a little easier on DIL. Have SKYPED with them in Barbados and at home. Love it.

Glad you had a nice visit Janice. It isn't if fun to go out with them!

Gail..enjoy your time!

Janice..Have a wonderful visit. I am sure you will. lol My son likes to shop too!

My son got a weeks leave approved. I think it is next week. So they finally get their Honeymoon. DIL said not sure if it was approved for international travel but they were going somewhere on an airplane! lol Would be nice if they would come to California but, then again, who wants to honeymoon with their mother! lol Just glad they finally get one :)

I found out from DIL that I can send things throughout the deployment. It will go when ever they do a mail drop so I am not going to try for the 28th. I am sure Stephanie is putting together an awesome halfway box for our sailor.

Can they get more than one? I know Stephanie is putting one together.

I am the mother of a married sailor and I don't get any information except from here or what my DIL is able to tell me via emails or phone (which isn't much). As for halfway boxes, I have not had any information on those. Can we mail boxes while they are on deployment and then it be delivered whenever they do a mail drop or is it limited to the halfway boxes? I always wondered about that, never have tried in the 10 years.

Jeanne..thanks for the explanation. I think that is cool.
