Hi all...been in CT since late Monday night. Have got to see my son probably a total of 4 hrs. One hr when he picked me up at airport at 11:30 p.m. An hour (if that) at 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning before he left for work. He had duty that day/night and worked Wed till 8:00 p.m. We met for late dinner at a nice restaurant near base and just got home (9:40 p.m.) . He, of course, taking a hot shower and then short visit before turning in. He is exhausted. Has to go in tomorrow and hopefully will be able to come home for dinner and an evening. But not sure, hoping all work done goes well. Not much time to spend. But that is how it is.

Found a dress for the wedding at David's Bridal shop near Hartford today. Thank goodness for Stephanie's help.

I'll give you more updates in a few days.

Thank goodness both boys went into the Navy. That seems to be the only way I travel...visiting them where they are stationed! LOL Otherwise I might not get out of California :)

Thanks all for the good wishes.

Janice..thanks, I'll have a great time. I'm sure Jimmy knows your son too. We were talking about this site and the Mom's and I mentioned your son being a cook. I told him our site only goes by first names and he laughed and said they all go by last names! He said he knows everyone on the boat. Now that I have a nickname for your son, I'll have to mention that. Also, thanks for the reassurrance on the wedding. I have to say some of us were getting nervous :)

As for access to a computer....husband and I bought a new laptop to take on these trips. We are going to Japan next March too to visit his son that is Navy stationed over there. So...I will update :)

Hi All: I sure hope I can get a tour of the boat when I am there. I was on board his first sub the Parchee but it was an older sub. Since then it has been decommissioned. I just learned that he will not beable to get a day off with me :( We will just have to enjoy the evenings.

My Mom is not making this trip for the bridal showers. She is going to come out for the wedding

I just told Stephanie this morning that the one place I want to go to is Mystic Pizza. That is really the only place I know. Good thing I saw the movie 3 or 4 times! LOL

Hi Evelyn. Good to hear from you. My Mom is back to her ole self. Thanks for remembering. I can't believe summer is almost over either. Jimmy and Stephanies wedding will be here before you know it....Nov 7th

I leave next Monday for CT from CA. I will be there and NY for 2 weeks for 2 bridal showers. Will get to visit with my son for a few days. Have not seen him in a year and a half. Can't wait to get a hug :0)

Well off to the gym again. Trying to lose a little weight before the wedding! LOL

Gail...I started filling out the form and then I got to looking ... it did not ask for my son's name. Is this something he has to fill out? I'm confused. What does this do for me?
