Gail...thanks, I'll check out the site.

Janice...I'm excited for your husband. I asked Jimmy about it. He said they would be boarding today. We talked about where everyone would fit. He said it would be a little crowded! Hot racking. Can't wait to hear how your husband loved it :)

Gail. YAY for you on the winnings. That is so awesome. Pamper yourself for sure. What is Bigtent and how do you register?

My son called me today topside of the submarine. I get such a kick out of that. We talked about Tiger Cruise and he said he had thought about saying something but that he was trying to come to CA for his grandparents memorial (this Sunday) so he never pursued the Tiger Cruise subject. Just tried to get the time off to come home for memorial. But that did not pan out. I felt better after talking to him! Just thinking about my trip to CT in a few weeks and will get to see him and his new house :)

Janice...my mom is doing great. 84 and going strong. Thanks for asking. How exciting for your husband. I know he will have a wonderful time and a chance of a lifetime.

Gail...I so want to move the the East Coast. There is so much history there and it would be closer to my son! LOL

Kathy..It would be great if we could meet up. I will be coming in late 9/14 and leave 9/28 with a few days in Saratoga Springs NY area for the other shower. That is on the 26th Sat.

Kathy .. nice to hear from you and that your mom is in the recovery process. Just booked my tickets to CT for a 2 week visit. Get to see my son, new house and attend both bridal showers in CT and NY. I know I will only have a few days with him before he leaves again but at least I'll see his smiley face :)

Janice..still trying to work out dates for my trip. I did get Southwest tickets from CA to NY for the wedding at $99 oneway with one stop for both of us. That was a great fine. Same thing coming back except change planes at the one stop. Thanks for the tip tho.

Evelyn...thanks for that warning cuz I was a little hot! LOL Jimmy is a machinest mate and I know when the Parche was decom we still could not go back to where he worked. Maybe that would be the same as your son having to have someone sit and wait. This boat is out so much. I still have not made it to see his house in CT that he bought. Plus in Sept they are having 2 wedding showers (one CT and one NY) for Stephanie. I wanted to go for both and see house but looks like my son won't be there. I know he is proud of his new purchase and wanted "him" to be there when I saw it for the first time. Decisions .. decisions.

Gail. Thanks. I know my husband is the step-dad but he would have loved to have done that. Guess Jimmy did not think of his or perhaps he asked his father or father in law to go. Will be asking him when they get home, you can bet!

I got my first email from my son on this "underway". It was good to hear from him. He mentioned it is hard to email when he wants to and has time to. I take that reference as meaning he has to wait his turn at the computer. He sounded good. Just says it is good to hear from "dry land"! LOL
