Hi Lauren,
Will do. looking to hear about all his adventures.
Hi Everyone! I am new to this group. My son just told me he is going to USS Ashland 7/31/2012 as an Udes. Can anyone give me any information regarding this Ship? Thank You!!
My son is not that chatty so I have no idea where he heard hat they were going to Japan.
My son is new to the Ashland since completing all of his schools and says it is being refurbished and when this is completed they go to Japan to replace a same type that will return to VA for refurbishing. This is son's first ship. He is an E4 and an ET3. He has been certified for two other jobs since arriving in VA. That is all I know! Looking forward for more action myself. Welcome to the group :)
Thanks, Rebecca. All I know is what my son says....so I shipped the truck day before yesterday. Willing to share my experience with anyone who must ship a vehicle. It was a rather logical experience. Thanks again
Son arrived Little Creek USS Ashland on Valentine's Day...now he says that he has opportunity to have an upgraded place to live if he has his car there???? So now I am researching how to ship his vehicle to him from Oakland, CA???? Mother's will take on anything. Here I go with my new project. Help :)
Rebecca, thanks. I am charmed by your graciousness. This is very exciting for me. I have no new news but I have high hopes. Son's birthday was on day of Super Bowl... hope they all had some time to relax and cheer for their team. He should get to Little Creek soon.
My son is assigned to the Ashland after he finishes C school. He is an electronics technician. He will be sent to Norfolk by February I understand from information he has now. He finished boot camp January 2011. I see there has not been activity lately on this site. Hope there still is interest in this group. The Asland should be finished with it's repairs and upgrading February 2012. Hipe that brings more moms to the site. Blessings to you all from a California Navy Mom. :)
