FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I thought I would respond as my daughter just arrived to the ship a week ago.
Just click on the icon at the top of this page that says -- Navy for moms or in the search window enter Navy for Moms Admin
HI! I am a very PROUD Bataan mom. My son has been there since last January. I'm so glad I stumbled on this site. ( I like to google his ship every once in a while ) Thank you so much for being here for us!

Hi my hubby is on the Bataan
My son left the US to join the ship as an ET.  I enjoyed this site when he was in boot camp and I am glad there is one for the ship.  Jennifer

He probably works with my husband... He did say someone new just came aboard, does your son have an Australian accent?

This is my son's first deployment. Getting that first phone call and first letter made my month!
We have a Sailor on the Bataan.  Since the March deployment from Norfolk...
I have a sailor on the USS Bataan, she too has been on since the March deployment.  My daughter, Rhea Hagen, is hoping I can connect to Katherine Davis (Tia's mom) and Tammy Mahar (Joe's mom). Would you know of or be one of these Mom's?
