USS Bataan LHD-5

Group for family members of Sailors who are on the USS Bataan (LHD-5)

I decided to start this group to see who else may have a Sailor on this ship; or heading to this ship.

Granted, we may be a bit limited to what we can discuss openly online, but if nothing else, may be a good way to connect and network off-line as well.

Make sure to not disclose advance ship movements or other OPSEC issues.

My son is an FC2 on this ship.

siscarrie,  Thats ok your not alone!!  My son is missing everyone here and wish the ship time could be a little faster.  He's bored when not working. Not much to do on down time.

I feel so bad for him!

Good morning ladies, hope everyone has a great Easter weekend!! Stay busy and take plenty of pictures to send to those sailors.

I know the holidays are always the worst for me, i looked back at my Easter pics from last years, and my eyes were all puffy from crying.

My son wants me to check his credit score. He said there were sites the Navy recommended but he couldn't remember. Do you gals know? He said he wanted it checked yearly and its been a year since he checked it.

Hubby just called yesterday. They have satellite phones on the ship. Is his cell international? If so that may be what he was talking about as cell phones can't be used while underway.

Kellie  I wish there was a beach close to me.  But your right summer would be better than winter but I think we are going to hit both of them.   Maybe not if we get lucky!!
