USS Bataan LHD-5

Group for family members of Sailors who are on the USS Bataan (LHD-5)

Members: 144

I decided to start this group to see who else may have a Sailor on this ship; or heading to this ship.

Granted, we may be a bit limited to what we can discuss openly online, but if nothing else, may be a good way to connect and network off-line as well.

Make sure to not disclose advance ship movements or other OPSEC issues.

My son is an FC2 on this ship.

Goodmorning my son is assigned to the USS Bataan he is just preparing to leave A school in Great Lakes. He actually departs sometime in December afther he is done with leave. I am worried about him and how he will adjust because he is a E1 and also undesignated. If he would have listen to mh (his mother) he could have a bit more rank.

My Thanksgiving was great just me and my hubby @ Dixie Stampede in Branson Mo.  This was my birthday gift and I had to use some of my vacation time, before the end of the year otherwise I loose it.

Hope everyone had great Thanksgiving!!!!
