Hi - I don't see activity in this support group in a long time, and wonder if there are family members of Boise sailors out there?  My son joined and we got to tour the boat recently.  Would love to…Continue

There is almost nothing that goes on here due to the secrecy of the subs.... Holly was very helpful when my son arrived.

Does anything go on here??  Or is there a facebook page for the USS Boise??  My son recently got to Norfolk and working on coming aboard.   Any help would be appreciated.

No problem.  They are home safe and I am so glad.  I am sure you have talked to them by now though.

Hi LGS... I am here. I teach school so I can't really check things out until the kids go home. I can message you my phone number. This has been my son's first deployment so I am still learning. There is not much info out there for sub groups because we just don't know much. I know less being in CA as a lot of the info has to be shared in person or hard copy. I know that wives know a lot more than the moms do (I have several friends from Boot Camp days whose kids went subs). Let me know if you have any questions and I can try to answer them. You are closer to Norfolk than me, so you can go to meetings and drop off boxes in the drop box. Check your messages and I will give you my cell number.

Well, he would not put you on his page 2.  That is where his dependents are listed.  In the future he should add you to the ombudsman contact list.  That is something he fills out and gives to the ombudsman and it gives her permission to talk to you about things.  And keep you in the loop as far as information ( as much as she can).  Do you know when the deployment ends?  It has been released to the news so I could tell you ( still in a message because it makes me feel better) and not break opsec.  Also, Nancy USS Boise is a fantastic lady and she can probably give good advices as well.  I know beinga  spouse is quite different than being the parent.  She can probably understand where you are coming from in ways I just can't.  If you need anything you can message me.

First boat. He just got out of Groton in October. Says he is not hot racking (actual term?) right now. I know NOTHING :-) so any information is helpful. Where do you get the fleet sheets? I will order some right away. I really appreciate the info.
