Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

   Popping in to say hi!  Happy Friday!  Spring stalled here in upstate NY!  We're back to 30s/40s...hopefully that changes soon.  Would love to see blue skies and sunny days!

   Danagirl - congratulations from me too on your son's surface warfare pin! and...

   Sharon - oh you must be SOOO excited!  I'll be interested in hearing about how the processing out goes for Steven.  Fingers crossed  for you...for the best Mother's Day gift EVER!!!!

   YES...this N Korea thing is so out of control!  I find myself talking myself in and out of worry all day long and wanting to throw up when I hear all of this craziness!  And prayers non stop.

   Been texting and FB messaging with Josh.  He seems to "sound" good.  Long hours six days a week.  Sounds like he might be able to squeeze in some golf on Sunday according to a FB post I saw.

   Well...wishing you all a nice weekend!  Love hearing from everybody!

sharon, that would be a wonderful Mother's day present!  hope all works out!  where are you going on the cruise?  have a wonderful time! 

n korea better just leave us alone!!! 

we have been enjoying some warmer weather, here, too!  like it!  we haven't planted our sweet corn yet.  or anything.  looking forward to warm weather.  i could live in a winter/summer place!  i love 80's and above, and i love snow.  i like the colors of spring and fall, but i'd rather be in a warm place!!!

Hi all.. just a quick hi.. to check in.. weather is warming up nice here.. talked to my son via email.. said he is still trying to come home at Christmas.. seems too far away. He did say he got his surface warfare pin this go round :) Hope everyone has a great rest of the week ..

hi, all.  hope everyone had a great Resurrection Sunday!  ours was wonderful, starting with church, then fam dinner, egg hunt.  heard from hunter through fb, oh well, he's not much of a talker anyway.  he's glad to be back in port. 

sharon, getting closer!  so, steven will be stationed in san diego his last year?  and you live close to there, correct?  that's wonderful!  happy for you

marianne, happy for you and all your kids together too!

also praying for safety of our and all Sailors, military close to korea.  they better stay away...hehe
