i, too, hope all are safe through sandy. it's just stinkin' cold here in ohio. i can take snow, but don't like the wind and rain. :(
good hearing all about you and your Sailors!
Thank you Cathy and Sharon... I hope everyone in the northeast is safe.. Happy Halloween everyone.. Be careful :)
Danagagirl - hope your twins had a wonderful birthday!
Marianne, glad to hear Katie arrived savely!
Tina, nice to hear from you. Hope Jamie weathered the storm.
We were lucky in upstate NY. However, downstate NY was slammed. Lots of devastation there.
thank you Marianne
danagagirl - Happy 20th to your twins!!
It's my boys' birthday.. they are 20 today.. one local ..one overseas...the younger twin messaged his brother and told him he got to celebrate his birthday first. the other told him, I'll still be a minute older always! Love those boys!! Have a great week everyone :)
Katie arrived safely in Ft Leonardwood for training!
I have been keeping up with the posts for the GHWBush and happenings in Norfolk. I read about only 'mission essential' personnel as well. Reporting at low tide.....delay reporting if you are to arrive on Monday, etc.
Tina - Hopefully lost power is the only thing that will happen to Jamie!
wow, lots of posts!

Sharon, that's wonderful you will get to see your grandbaby! I hope your daughter loves being a mom. My oldest daughter changed a lot when she became a mom. I think she appreciates her own mother a lot more too lol.
Cathy, maybe you can pull off a different surprise if it's not right on Thanksgiving. I'll bet you can scheme something even if it is just surprising some people in the family.
Getting these grandkids into bed now. Ugh. It's a challenge
This storm is going to be insane I think. Lake Erie by me 18 ft waves??? Most we have ever seen even when it's bad is around 4-6 or maybe 8!!! Hope you are all ok. Stay safe
Sharon, how exciting...a new grandbaby! Safe travels! Enjoyed reading your blog and seeing pictures!
hmmm...gathering in Ohio? I might be up for that!!
Yep, it's the Frankenstorm that's getting all of the attention here. Who knows what it will bring our way. I'm just glad our roof will be finished!
Heard from Josh. His leave won't begin until Nov. 23 and flight wont get him home until late night 23rd. Not sure how the rest of my family feels about delaying thanksgiving dinner until Saturday 24th, but i'll ask. Might be too hard to pull off a surprise....not sure. I might be able to scheme up something :-)
take care!
