Jesse got "the" stomach flu. First he had two watch days and then the flu for the past couple of days. I think it's the third day of being sick. Hope he will feel well enough to enjoy some liberty time soon.

Welcome home Sharon, and hope you are all doing well.

Kyann do you know yet if Hunter can come home?

Not super caught up online these days, as my daughter and three grandkids ages 11, 9, and 7 moved in with me two weeks ago. They might be with us a couple of months. Not sure what I'm going to do when Jesse gets home for leave. He said he doesn't want those kids sleeping in his room!  they might be able to stay with others in our family for a few days.  always something!

mary-great news about the wallet!

great news about the leaves for your Sailors, too!

Sharon, I hope Steven gets it!  I heard that a lot of people would have liked to switch to the thanksgiving leave, but since they had already booked flights for the later ones, they couldn't switch, so it seems like there would be enough open slots for those who want to grab those.  let us know!

Mary, glad to hear Jesse got his wallet back.  Nice to hear it was returned with everything in it!  I've heard such horrible stories about sailors stealing from each other.  I heard about the Thanksgiving leave!  Josh is coming home too!  But he doesn't have his definite return date so I am still waiting to hear from him.  I didn't expect to see him until the summer so this is NICE!  I was looking at flights and they are 1/2 the amount of what he paid for over the summer.  His flight home in July cost $3000.  Last I looked I saw flights for $1460 and it brings him right to Albany Airport which is only 20 minutes from home versus JFK in NYC which is a 3 hour+ ride from home and horrific traffic!!!!

He says he wants to surprise his grandparents on Thanksgiving Day!  It's at our house this year...so I've decided not to tell anyone (except my hubby and my son DJ).  I usually post it to Facebook because I'm so excited, but can't this time.

     Take care all!

Jess didn't book his flights yet for leave, and then they opened up a 3rd one at thanksgiving time and he got it! for 2 and a half weeks! the other leave times are around 10 days. I helped him with flights -  as in our credit card (since lost then found wallet on another ship), anyway...The other ship arrived and he has his wallet! yes, would have been nice if it were literally a few hours earlier and he coulda used his own credit card, lol - oh well, at least he has his wallet back...And ya know what? The $130 CASH was still in it! God Bless the great person who turned it in.
