danagagirl, What is his rate?
Checking into this group, my son just found out he has orders to this ship and would like to meet others. He is due to graduate in August from C school.. so it will be in the fall. I look forward to getting to know others
YIPPPEEEE Sharon! Praying it's soon!
Hey Tina - That sounds great! So glad you will be able to see Jamie too. We are heading to Norfolk next weekend. Driving Katie's car down to her. It will be a quick trip since we have to fly back on Sunday since Thomas starts driver's Ed on Monday.
We haven't had less than 90s (upper) and humid for over a week. Heat warnings continue. Yesterday we got a little rain, otherwise it has been very dry in our area.
July is part of their rainy season. I remember when we were there for the Tiger Cruise we were soaked to the bone going from the Navy Lodge to the ship. One of the days before the trip it would down pour and then stop. Thomas was in the pool on base and they would make him get out and then he could go back in just a little later of the rain cloud passed over.
Katie ships is back - just some quick 'at sea trials'. She is disappointed that the ship's schedule has changed again and she will not be out to sea like she had hoped (long underway). Katie misses being out at sea.
Oh yeah, Josh also mentioned that it has been cloudy and rainy for the past 3 weeks! UGH! He's hoping for sunny skies when he is home :-)
I love the banner up top! I remember it from last year too. I'd like to use it for my Facebook cover, but when I went to add it, FB says you can't use anything that is copywrighted....and I'm thinking it probably is :-(
Got a text from Josh this morning. Says he now has the rest of the week off. Asked him if he had plans and says "just relaxing...lol"
Kim: sounds like Hans is doing well in his new location.
Marianne: sounds like Katie's ship was headed out to sea? Would love to hear about her travels when it's no longer OPSEC.
Wishing all a fabulous 4th!
Take care,
Cathy
Kyann - sounds like you and your family are packing a lot into your trip! Sounds wonderful. Not sure if I have the nerve to try parasailing though.
The FRG reported that Debbie effected Katie's ship some, but the stayed on schedule.
Nice! Sharon!
