Thanks Sharon!  Yes thankfully that humidity only lasted a few days.  But we do get a full week of it at least once during the course of our summers.  Brockport is about 240 miles west of us.  My nephew graduated from SUNY Brockport about 10 years ago.  I drove out that way on my way to Buffalo for a conference.  They get NASTY NASTY winters and LOTS of snow!!!

Oh, I hope Steven gets his special leave soon!  IF my memory serves me correctly it's been almost a year right?  That's way tooooooooooo long!!!   I recall him being home over the summer last year.  I remember a posting of yours with a picture of him at the grill and he was having a party with his friends.

Take care,

Cathy

Hi KimTN! Sounds like you had a lovely weekend! Our temperatures here in upstate NY have fluctuated between 60 and 95 degrees over the past couple of weeks. But I love the summer and glad it's here. Our pool is up and running and I'm always looking forward to the weekends!

Josh will be home July 17-30. Getting excited!!! He has planned a trip to Yankees Stadium on July 29. We'll stay overnight and bring him to JFK airport the next day. Lots of his friends are going too. I ordered the tickets on Stub Hub yesterday and his friends will be dropping by to give me the $$ for their ticket.

Today, I'm feeling thanksful. Today is my Uncle's 81st birthday! He is still hanging in there. He has out lived the prognosis the docs gave him back in January. He has his good days and bad days. Today he is well enough to go out to dinner with me and my sisters. We are taking him to his favorite "little town diner." We use to go there with him and my grandmother when we were little girls! Josh is thankful he will get to see him when he comes home.

Well...have to start my day and get working....I hope all is well with you and your families!

Cathy

Sharon - I just read the article.  Guess it wasn't the steering like some first assumed.

Going to get into the mid 90s again today with high humidity.  Guess we'll get a break with thunderstorms Wednesday evening.

Anyone every hear why the Tiger cruise was cancelled?

Marianne, enjoy your time with Katie.

I had the German Measles after the birth of my 3rd child.  They would not let me leave the hospital without the shot and I got it from the shot.   It was over Christmas and NY's.  The doctor didn't believe I had it until he saw me covered and 103.5 fever.

oh, Marianne, that's wonderful!  Enjoy, Enjoy!!

So nice to have Katie home for a week.  Thursday we leave for 2 weddings - 1 in Grand Haven, MI, on Friday and another in River Forest, IL.  She will have to leave from O'Hare and then I will have to drive back alone;(  Hope I'm not too tired driving back home....Doing dress alterations tonight.  Katie was in Japan when the dresses were ordered and they had to 'guess' the size.
