I think the weather s much better than what we have here in Texas. Richard told me the other day that the temperature was 30 the morning before the puled into Seattle. I hope all goes well for our Sailors.

Yes, I've heard from my son twice.  He called before they pulled into port and when he finally got to get off the ship.  He had duty when they first arrived so yesterday he was able to get off and said the first order of business was FOOD!  My second son also heard from him and all was well.  I think the weather is good there and hopefully all our sailors will be able to see some of Seattle and have a good time.

Ladies, I think I am back for a while. I had to take a break to finish classes. I finished yesterday, so now, I think I have more time to spend on my favorite spot next to facebook! lol

Jane, I asked my son, and he knows your son. He said that when someone is new to the ship, they have to spend time in the galley, so he gets to meet new sailors.

Has anyone heard from their sailor since they left for Seattle? Richard called once, but I haven't heard from him since.

Hi all!  I see we have some new moms in the group!  Welcome!  I'm glad you were able to get the links to the email newsletter.  It's full of great info.

Right about now they're in Seattle, I hear the weather is nice.  I hope all our sailors will have the opportunity to see a little of the city.

I hope they all have a successful trip out and have good stories to tell upon their return.

I am new and I did not get the newsletter.  I would love one.   My name is Liz.

My son just joined the BHR.  Well actually he is in San Diego awaiting the BHR.

Brand spanking newbie. He is a HT.  He is smart, fun loving and a genuine nice guy.  His name is Armstrong.  Please ask all your sailors to welcome him.

Did everyone get the newsletter by email???  I got mine last week and it has lots of good info... Family Readiness Group, ombudsman, care numbers...

If you didn't get it, let me know and I can forward my email to you or maybe give you the address so you can get yours.
