Hi everyone! I'm new to this, even though my son has been on the BHR for 2 years...my son told me this morning that he has this bug you've mentioned. He said it's pretty bad. He's also been fighting a foot problem that he got on the 7 month deployment, so he's ready to get off the ship! Also, I went on the Tiger Cruise in April, it was a tremendous, once in a lifetime experience! My only recommendation is to take warm clothes, the ship is freezing, especially at night! I'm going to check out the website. Thanks for the tip.

Kari, I was going to do the tiger cruise, but Richard wants to get married, so I have put it on hold.
I have been following the RIMPAC on facebook. Richard has two of his pictures on "People of RIMPAC" He is standing in front of a door in one and pouring flour in another. He bakes all the dinner rolls for the ship. I made a comment on one of the pictures saying something about "That's my baby boy!"
I think it was you, Kari, who mentioned about Google Alerts to get updates on BHR. I love getting the daily reports.
I just hope that the virus going around isn't food related! lol

Has anyone heard news about RIMPAC? Richard called last night and said that there was a stomach bug going around. He was SIQ and said that there were a lot of people sick. They finish soon and will be heading back home. I want to hear all about it and see the pictures.

I have had to postpone my tiger cruise :( My son is getting married when he gets back. We decided to use the funds for the wedding instead. I want to go on the next one!

I kept searching for one and then decided, what the heck, I'll just start one myself. What does your sailor do on the USS Bonhomme Richard? My is a chef. He has only been there since April.

My son is aboard the USS Bonhomme Richard and as I searched, noticed that it did not have a group of it's own. Welcome any and all members!
