we have been enjoying hunter being here!  wednesday is going to come WAY to fast.  i've made him some of his fave foods, and he's had some take out that he has missed.  he is planning a little get together tonight at his fave local pizza place--he put it on fb, and i think he mostly wanted friends, but i told him he might have family show up since he didn't specify...oh well, we just might show up--LOL  just kidding.  anyway, he's got to see most of the people he wanted to.  we are having family CHRISTmases sunday and tuesday.  here, at our house!!!  oh, i love kids, but not the parents who let the kids get out of hand... hehe  as long as we're all together, it'll be wonderful.

sharon, hope you are enjoying your CHRISTmas holiday season, too.

we are getting a taste of winter today.  blowing and snow.  bbrrrr  it's COLD.

hope you all are doing great!

i heard in church, and i love this..."it's not about giving or receiving, it's about the GIFT!!!"  my gift is Jesus CHRIST

love to all!

Here's how my surprise went...My husband and I were suppose to meet up with our oldest son and his new girlfriend for drinks - to celebrate their relationship.  They have been best friends since 7th grade (now 30 and 26).  After spending time with them last July during Josh's Yankee Game send off, I KNEW in my heart they would end up more than friends!  Maybe he knew too, but didn't want to admit it...not sure.  Anyways, walked into the Tavern, and there they were along with my parents who were down from Vermont and other family members and a few of our friends.  I scanned the faces thinking what to HECK?  And up popped my Sailor!!!!  He handed me kleenex (LOL) and HUG, HUG, HUG!

   Feeling really blessed!

thanks for sharing in our joy, all!  it means a lot.  hunter got in last night (or japan morning) with no problems.  he pretty much brought the clothes he wore!!!  we had a nice group of family and 1 of his good friends there to welcome him at the airport.  i grabbed the first hug, of course!!!  :)  then we did go somewhere to eat, bob evans, one of his faves!  he and jesse got to make the "long" airplane ride together from tokyo to chicago. i do want to thank jesse for making sure hunter got on the bus from the base.  i was all worried about the shuttle, not knowing they had a bus 24/7.  all that worry for nothing.  haha  i'm not sure if hunter knew about the bus.  he actually went to his room when he went to bed around midnite, said he was a little tired, and hoping to jump into our schedule...not sure how good that's gonna work out.

anyway, i'm so thankful he's here.  praying you ALL hear from your Sailors.

love you all!!!

Cathy, the progress is just how their travels are moving along from the bus to the airports, they are posting on fb. "I'm at this airport...now I'm at that airport"  lol.

congrats Tina!

We're having Easter dinner tonight, ham, german potato salad and stuff with Jess. And some of his friends are coming over (and family). It could be a very long night. I'm off work from lunchtime today till 12-27 though.
