special thanks to "huntersmom kyann", "marianneKY'som", & "danagagirl" for welcoming me to this group. Are they just in Sasebo or I shouldn't be asking that? Sorry, I'm still new to this :)

Sharon, sounds like Steven is having a wonderful time!  They really do pack it all in within a short period of time!  I have seen subtle changes too and I totally get what you mean!!!

KimTN, happy to hear that Hans is doing so well!

And welcome menchord!  Yes, this is a wonderful group and you'll love visiting with us!  My son is a damage controlman.  He arrived in Sasebo in May 2011.  Not sure he is crazy about navy life. I get so many mixed messages from him!  Some times he talks about re-enlisting and others not.  Time will tell.  I do know that he has made some great friends and after being in port for an extended period of time he looks forward to going out to sea!

Take care all!

Sharon, maybe it is the GF influence with the dishes, etc.  Sounds like he is having a great time.  I've heard that some change in the bathrrom of the plane before landing so the arrive in uniform (of course, that would be when it isn't a surprise).

Welcom menchord!  My daughter Katie has left the Essex/BHR after 3 years, but I still keep in touch.  My daughter was a DC, what rate is your son?
