Yayyyy so excited they are coming home. Couldn't ask for a better Christmas present. I heard from someone whose husband is on the Eisenhower that all ships will be pulling in between the 14th and the 20th and will be re-deployed in Feb. Has anyone else hear this or is it just a rumor?

Due to OPSEC we aren't being gany dates as of yet.  The last info is that they were in the Red Sea.  That would have them heading for the Suez Canal.  Communications will be sparse for just a little bit due to certain conditions but will only be for a short time.  The Sailors will definitely be home for Christmas but no arrival date so far has been disclosed.  I'm sure as they get closer, more info will be posted.  Captain Dan is truly vigilant about keeping us up to date and informed.  He is a truly kind hearted and caring man.

Will someone keep me updated about the homecoming festivities? I don't have access to the OB page.

I'll be there for sure!

Yes, Hue City  is returning to Mayport before Christmas. Last night's message was from the Admiral and then another from the Cpt as usual. Tonight the Cpt explained a little more. No dates were given...They will be returning as soon as Ike is fixed. The H C is the only ship escorting IKE back. The crew will be allowed to take leave, but on a rotating bases and no dates have been set. I look forward to the OB reposting the Cpt messages nightly. They will let us know any info they can when they are able to safety do so. Hope this helps.

Yes, fp,  There is a letter from an Admiral on the Facebook page.  Hue will be in Mayport before Christmas.  It may, however be a fairly quick turnaround.
