Hi, all! I'm new to this site - I'd forgotten what a blessing N4M was to me during boot camp. Guess I have to be slapped upside the head to remember how important it is to stay connected. Thanks to all who posted about the Ombudsman site - I am now a "friend" and have spent this morning reading the updates and checking out the photos. Found two of my son and it meant the world to me. I am not savvy when it comes to ANY of this - am an old dog trying to learn the new tricks. Is it OK to "share" the photos from the Ombudsman site to my FB wall??? I want to share them with my friends and family but I don't know what is and is not OK as far as security goes. Any input would be appreciated. Blessings!

Dale's does love Pink Floyd and does play their tunes.  Wouldn't it be a hoot if he was 'the' one?  What are the odds?  They call him the 'old man' as he was a Merchant Marine for about 11 years before enlisting at 29.  He's now 42 but still has the heart of a teen. lol  When he enlisted, he had hair to his waist and it was in natural ringlets.  All the girls called him Bon Jovi cause he looked like him with the face, hair, guitar, etc.  What a doll.  Of course I'm not prejudiced but that is what his wife calls him and she didn't meet him until after he was enlisted and didn't even have the hair.  He donated it to locks for love.

Very interesting! I wonder if Dale or one of the other Sailors mentioned here is the one teaching Jonathan? J sez he's ordered a guitar for himself but in the meantime he is playing a borrowed one n learned a Pink Floyd riff. So which one of your Sailors is the PF fan? He is now teaching. Is there a rating for that? LOL. I am so happy to know they have a few minutes of the week for music.

Yep. Diana's son is my brother Dale! I can attest to the fact that he is wicked good on the guitar! It would be cool if all the guys could get together and jam if they have some free time. Music soothes the soul!

Oh, he is also a music trivia Master, second only to his big sis!

Mine has many guitars and keeps getting more.  He started on drums as a youngster.  Wanted a "boom booom shish" for Christmas.  Thank heaven he got over that one quickly.  Then it was Guitar.  Took lessons on an Accoustic and took them for a very short time.  Didn't want to play happy birthday and merry christmas so he quit and has played self-taught ever since.  He's pretty good too.  Love to hear him play Stairway To Heaven for me.   He loves Heavy Metal!

My son even bought a special guitar to take with him. He is basicly self taught and has performed during open mikes. I hope he has time to play, it is one of his stress relievers...

Well he won't be alone.  There are musicians aboard, including my son.  I do believe he has at least one of his aboard.  Kind of like an appendage for him. lol.  Happy day all.
