He has been texting me alot - he says they are possibly leaving soon. But said they have been busy and that he would get back to me. But I have not heard from from as of yet. Does anyone have any news on when and where they are going. But I know he loved being in Japan.

same here, and I agree, Robin. I never told you two. I got a text from my son a few weeks back. He told me he asked his girlfriend he met on the Cowpens like four months ago to marry him...at the least I was shocked! I am used to the idea now. I got to talk to her on skype. I just hope she doesn't brake my sons heart.

OK, well I guess I will have to warn my son, Robin have a great time, I love those guys. Oh also my son emailed me yesterday and really shocked me. He asked his girlfriend he started seeing four months ago to marry his and she said yes. I don't know anything else except he did give her a ring. OH! what its like to be young...LOL

Yep my son wants to move there also but he also misses home to much. And his best friend just got back from Iraq - Army - I will mention mount Mt Fuji! Watch out on the ship when he turns 21 I heard some stories about sailors when they turn of age. Oh and on elevation yep he does no that - we live in colorado springs elevation 6352 ft and when he came from MS he got sick! He also got sick when he was first on the ship - they gave him something for it. He said it rocks and rocks!

almost like a whammy! right in the middle of things. I'm not sure if my son has been to Mt. Fuji, but I have seen some pics of stuff like the drunk on an  Elephent video...lol He will be 21 next month.

Went to Great Lakes for BC in Sept and then A school to Merdian,MS then graduated came home for 3 weeks for vacation then off to Japan. The Navy has been a world wind for him. And he is loving it.
