Have any of you heard from your sons or daughters just wondering how the Cowpens are doing!

That would be great! But it looks as if it is a government facebook page. But great ideal!

Yes I find it reassuring also to look to see what the ship is doing from day to day.Kind of like you are alittle closure to them. I miss my son all the time but as he says that he has to go on this big adventure but will always think of home no matter where he is at. On you tube if you type in USS Cowpens there are vidoes out there of the ship and they also show what they do. I found it interesting. Just FYI on that also.

I have been reading those reports everyday. I find it very interesting finding out what every ship is doing from day to day. You really don't have any idea what needs to be done until they mention it. I love the way the US and a Japanese are working together.

This was from the Facebook: US 7th Fleet  Just FYI

USNS Carl Brashear (T-AKE-7) conducted replenishment with the USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) today, transferring fuel, shipboard supplies and160 Pallets of Humanitarian Assistance Disaster Relief (HADR) supplies. The Brashear also provided 30 pallets of HA/DR supplies to the USS Fitzgerald (DDG 62) and 15 pallets to the USS Cowpens (CG 63) in the Reagan Strike Group.   These supplies will be distributed over the next few days.

just got done sending my box out. And yep I also feel better when I get boxes together for my son - kind of still taking care of him- even though he states he is all grown up now and not to worry- I just sent mine his PSP and I was just thinking yep they are still little kids at heart!

I'm putting a few boxes together also, My son loves robins eggs at easter and I bought two big bags. I am splitting them up so he can share with everyone else. not sure what else will be going in there. I am guessing stuff like shampoo and soap. Also some of the women at work want to add stuff. This is making me feel better instead of worrying about my son all the time. :)

Yep we can- actually I found it on facebook - he does not tell me anything - he does not want to get into trouble. We are sending a box of candy tomorrow to our in hopes that the extra we placed in there - okay alot extra will get past around.

My family is sending him candy and what not to be past around the ship also when he was  A school my family in friends even with me telling them sent 17 boxes of stuff in 7 weeks. So tell the Cowpens goodies are on the way. Oh Merdian,MS (His A school) actually ask us to send them a box after her left there- they are great!
