I agree. A connection with pictures and information would be nice. My son isn't one for sharing much either. I followed someone on Instagram that had posted some pictures and promptly got "in trouble" by my son. Seems the person I followed figured out I was the mom of another sailor and they all made fun. This being a mom of a Navy sailor is tough business!
Mike's Mom... If you find that female sailor's Mom...I'd love to hear what she has to say as well. A female on my son's last ship that liked to talk to her Mom was the Only way I had a clue what was going on during his deployment. This ship, I feel isn't gonna be much different. Son was sent to Cowpens in Dec...have only heard from him twice via email... something about "wi-fi connection is a pain to get to as it's off base". So if anyone can tell me where those on-base places are I can maybe get them passed on to him...and Maybe get more info from him? Probably not but it sounds good... I'm trying to hang in there on the premise that No news is good news.
Those silly sailors..... Here's what mine sent me:
Servicemember's name

USS Antietam CG-54
FPO AP 96660-1174
I must say Antietam is giving my fingers grief. ;)
So on Facebook for the ombudsman? Is there another place for me to sign up?
Cool you could just change the name. =)
I did get the new address from him the other day and then sent a package to the Cowpens address. He said the Mighty Moo will be there for awhile so it's all good. He also said that they've moved over to the Antietam too. For some reason I thought this was all going to take a lot longer. Maybe because everything else seems to move at a snails pace. ;)
Silly question - do we all move over to the Antietam page on NavyforMoms?
