I know! I'm kind of sad that I am not going to get to say bye to some of them. T is a great guy! He and my hubby have been friends for a while! He has been there to celebrate all of my birthdays out here,, lol!

Now that I am home from work I can finally take the time to post properly!

Sam, we will miss you at homecoming! I was looking forward to meeting you and give you a proper thank you for everything you have done for T. You are a brave young woman and a good Navy Wife to have sailors over for meals and such!

Mikos Mom, your sailor will probably have a three week leave period before going to Hawaii. That is what our son had before going there. T requested Hawaii as his first choice and also wanted to be on a small ship. He couldn't believe he got his first choices on his wish list. It has given us an excuse to visit Hawaii twice so far. He is hoping to reenlist and get orders for Hawaii again, he loves it! I'm sure your sailor will love the small ship environment as well as Hawaii.

Yankee's Mom....got those tickets yet?

That's what we were thinking. We were going to see if Halsey was available that day, then we were going to price a cheap caterer so everyone can enjoy themselves.

We could always rent one of the community centers Jenny.

Ok. A friend of mine and I are trying to figure out a dinner thing. It's been mentioned that the night before might not be the best idea since a lot of the wives will be running around like crazy getting ready, leis, cleaning, hair, nails, etc. So, we were thinking of 2 days prior for a spaghetti dinner. This is just in the works, so I don't know how it's going to pan out if at all with funding, location, etc. We got to thinkin with all the families coming in, that a restaurant would not only be pricy, but not as easy to socialize and visit.

Yes, we are coming 2 days before homecoming.
