Are most of you that are coming for Homecoming, coming at least 2 days in advance? (Please don't post dates of your arrival)

Cozy's, add me as a friend and then message me your Sailor's name. I will see what I can do for ya.

I made the background of my pillowcase into a flag and painted my kids faces on it. This year, since they call my husband Nemo, I'm drawing Nemo inside of the Chief's cover (hat) and crossbones.
The boys will be even happier once they get A/C back on the ship. They are working on that during this entire port. The hope to have it up and running within the next day or two.

There are pictures of last years pillowcase banner on my profile. I put a picture of us on my hubbys!

It's so hard knowing when they are homesick and down....T went through that when he first went to Hawaii for about 3 months, deployment cured that...they really get to know each other and develop friendships when they are out at sea for extended periods of time. It will get better for him!

The phones are great that they can change cards in for each country. Heard from our sailor several times this port visit. His call this morning was as he was getting ready to get on the bus for patrol duty for the evening, I'm sure that could get pretty interesting at times.

Shelia - Hope the wedding planning is going well...I'm sure M is chomping at the bit for this deployment to be over so he can get home!

Patti- I can send it to you if you like, but it won't let me until we are friends. I sent a request to you!
Roni- I know how you feel. I always wanted to come out here for that to, but my husband never understood, lol.
Jenny- Once again you are awesome, lol! Pass and ID can be a major pain, lol... Especially if you are talking about the one right by the gate...
Comment by JustJenny77 on October 1, 2010 at 6:40pm
I don't want that to be read wrong. It's not a pain to give you instructions on how to get on base!! It's my pleasure to do that. The only thing that really needs to be done is going to Pass and ID to get a pass for driving on base.

Keep me posted as to if you come or not Roni. As for dinner. We can't posts dates on here because of security purposes and we want to keep our Sailors safe! I will just say that if you want to mark your calendar for the day before they get home, we can meet at Sea Breeze at 5PM for dinner. If you don't have a military ID, email me at Gatzemeyer1@aol.com and I can give you the steps on how to get on base. If that is gonna be a pain in the butt, we can meet up somewhere else like a place called Schnooers which is right next to Pearl Harbor.

I agree Jenny. Those of us who are going to be there the night before homecoming should get together. Our Sailor has been promoting NFM aboard the ship so parents coming in for the event can meet up somehow. It would be nice to get together with our sailors friends wives! We could find out a lot about our sailors I'm sure.
