Finally got our phone call last night! T talked for over an hour, it was nice to talk to him for that long. He was in great spirits and seemed a little more relaxed than last time we talked on the phone.

I'll try to post a picture of the pillowcase I did for T's first deployment...last year I was too late in getting one done but someone else made one for him. I would encourage everyone to make one. The year we were there for homecoming it was disappointing that the banner did not have very many pillowcases.

The pillowcases are going to go on a banner for the CROMMELIN crew when they pull in. You can make one for your sailor with a little welcome note or picture, and send it here for them to sew onto the banner. After homecoming they will take the banner apart and give it back to your sailor, so make sure that his name is on there somewhere. Just make sure that it is a standard size pillow case, and that is is in landscape view. I will try to put up a picture of the one from last year, so that you can see.

Don't worry. I don't think that I would have gotten my call if it were not for his boss getting onto him, and the fact that tomorrow is our anniversary, lol.

Ladies don't forget to start working on your pillowcases so that you can get them sent in soon! I do not believe that there is a limit to the amount that you can make this year, so if you would like to make one and his significant other would like to make another then go ahead! Just remind them that they have to be G rated since there will be kids! Apparently last year someone sent in one that was very innappropriate!

I got my call last night finally!!! I didn't realize that my friends hubby (his boss) was going to yell at him for not calling me the night before, lol, but I do think it is kind of funny!

Don't worry I didn't get a phone call from my husband last night either! One thing is for sure... He will be getting an ear full tonight, lol!

Maybe our sons are in the same duty section and have had duty! T doesn't much like "G" anyway plus he would save money if he stayed on the ship!!

Debbie, Thank you!I I probably do know a lot of the sons, but I am pretty sure that I have known yours the longest, lol. I have several pictures, but I am pretty sure that I have already tagged them all on his facebook.
Roni- You are welcome!

Welcome Sam! Yes, you do know my son! I am sure you know several of the other sailors that have moms in this group as well. Hope you are doing well and counting the days!
