Wouldn't Alaska be great right now. We also have upper 90's and heat index between 105 and 110, ugh!!!!

T went back to work today, guess his friend will get a break today! She will fly back home on Monday, can't wait to hear about her trip since I've only talked to him once since Stacey got there!

Any pics yet Sheila?

Have a good weekend everyone.

T said they are Hanes brand t's.....that is a good sign they may be available at Wal-mart or similar store. If anyone finds out the Hanes color please pass it on. I am starting my care package collection!

We have to leave the getting into trouble to our Sailors!! We can't get into too much trouble as we'll probably have to be up early to get to the Naval Station!

Here we are getting excited about homecoming and they haven't left yet.

We should definetly get together though!

Mine has been in coxsman training, I think sheila's has been there as well. So I am a little out of the loop as well. I am sure that Sheila's sailor is just thinking about his beautiful bride to be arriving soon!!

Our Sailor is not coming home on leave either. He has a "girl" friend flying over to visit him.

I have checked the price of tics from kc to hawaii and found a couple of good fairs but haven't heard any more news on return date etc...

It would work better for my husband to go over the christmas holiday but T wants us to be there when the ship comes in so I have been trying to talk him into coming home with us.....his grandmother is not liking that he doesn't come home every six months! Hopefully all of us that are going can meet up somehow.

Happy birthday to your sailor Sheila, nothing wrong with missing your sailor today, or any other day for that matter!

It is about 20 minutes from the Naval Station, to the west I believe. I'll try to find the info and send it on to you.

It would be great to meet for dinner...there are so many good places to eat there. Our favorite are the shrimp trucks! You'll have to eat there a time or two when you are there.

T is already looking at his options for orders July 2011 when his time is up on the Crommelin. He really likes Hawaii, so it will be interesting to see what he puts in for.
