Lauren I'm so glad Niko made it home.  We are anxiously awaiting our sons trip home next week. So much stuff to do to prepare.   Although he says he is just going to lounge and play video games.     LOL.   That's right up are ally!!!

Welcome Debbie from MA.  My son is an OS on the Crommelin.  Being a part of this ship is definetly teaching us a lot of patience.  We are looking forward to his visit home on Dec. 30 as we have not seen him since he left in May!  We hope to make it to HI at some point but who knows what this ship will be doing in the new year.  We will be happy with whatever face time we get!

Have a wonderful visit.

Great picutre of Yankee and his girl!  Bet you are counting the days until they are home.  I would imagine Yankee is very glad he has his orders now.

Lauren, I am so glad your son is coming home.   I did ask Jeff. He said if its the Nico he is thinking of,  he does know him. Jeff said that Nico is an awesome cook!!!  He really enjoys when your son makes the meals on ship.   Have an awesome and safe holiday.

Lauren, I will have to ask Jeff.  I'm sure he does.  Jeff has worked in the kitchen quite a bit since being on the ship.

Whoo Hoo we finally got the dates for leave.  He will be on second leave this year.  Looking forward to it.

My son is an ETSN.  I don't think he has been doing this very much though from the comments he has made.  Yeah going with the flow seems to be the right thing to do.  Makes it hard to plan.  LOL.  Now I just tell family to plan the events and if Jeff is home he we will be there.   I've learned over the past several years that things change on a minute by minute basis and not to get too anxious about leave.  Last year we had tickets home for Jeff and we still didn't know if he was going to get to come home until he was actually on the plane.  Now that was anxiety provoking.  LOL

Congrats  Sam on your new addition.  We are still waiting for leave dates for my son.  He wasn't allowed to turn the request in until November 4.  So now we are waiting.  Seems like flights home have doubled in price since then.   Hope all have a great Thanksgiving next week with family and friends.  Very thankfu for you all and for all of your support.  :)
