probably too early to know about leave.  my son is home in US on leave - arriving day before earthquake.  he has been trying to get back to the ship to help and they telling him no, so he is not sure what to do when his leave is up.

To my Fitz family -  youngest son just got text from our sailor, he is back aboard the Fitz! We are happy to report that he is among his shipmates doing the work they were trained and called to do.

Prayers continuing for all.

Morrismom - I agree, we all feel helpless and would like to do something to protect or help them - even cook or bake! :)  Will just continue to pray and keep in touch w/each other when we receive any communication.

I am so happy you all are receiving some communication! Texted back and forth with my son for about an hour, day before yesterday. He was left in Yokosuka with 10 other sailors from the Fitz. Mine was supposed to report to March SAR school, I think it has started by now. He said the same thing about base as your son MorrisMom, little food and no signal for his computer. I didn't get to see his face or hear his voice but I know he would rather be with his shipmates. Prayers are continuing for all.

I just received a very brief note from my sailor  -  "Can't type too long, all very tired, glad u liked the package, got to go."   Like I said, it was brief but I heard from him.  Wanted to let you know they're fine but very tired.  Lord I  pray for strength and energy for all of them.   Also for whatever sleep they get, to revive and restore them as if they got at least eight hours of sleep.  Lord, please protect your children from any and all harm that can come their way.  In Jesus Name I Pray, Amen
