We have 3BD, 2bath private home in southern La. available immediately for any of our sailors' families coming back to the states that have need of it. Just paying it forward after Katrina.

Good morning all. This is the first time I have been on computer since the earthquake so I have a lot of catching up. Can't really get much info through iPhone.

MorrisMom thanks so much for sharing the email, I have only heard from my sailor once and I, too, crave all information. While I am joining 7th fleet and Pacific fleet facebook pages I still haven't been accepted to receive email from Fitz (we've been aboard since 10/10).

Has anyone heard from our ombudsman? I know their position in Yokosuka is precarious at best. Is there any way that we in the States can support the families of our sailors who live in Japan? I know they need the basic necessities, as we just heard from MorrisMom's email.

Bubsmom, I want to send a large care package, too. How can we find out if they are receiving mail?

MorrisMom - Thanks for sharing, so glad someone heard something.  I will keep praying for all of them.  Do you think care packages would get there?

Thanks for the info!  My church is praying for all of them (military and Japanese) w/special prayers for the Fitz.  They also added the moms, spouses and children.  Praying for the reactor to stay stable.

The Fitz is out on the ocean and not working inland at all. The ship is part of the search/recovery phase of rescue.  There is equipment on the ship to monitor the air quality as well (which they are doing now). Hopefully, this helps.
