I talked to my boyfriend yesterday, he didn't really say any specifics but all I know is that they are underway again until next Monday. I told him how I been hearing all over the news whats been going on and he says they been going through exercises but with his ranking he hasn't really been involved in any type of exercises just been doing a lot of studying, cleaning. But I also was able to view pictures on facebook....he's not in any of them. But yeah talking to him made me feel really good. Once they are back on port, we are planning for me to go there towards new years for a couple of weeks into January. I'm excited !

You can also follow the Fitz on facebook, too. They don't write too much but it's still another news source.

So glad you heard from your sons and you passed on the info that all is fine!

According to the NY Times, the exercises ended today - or yesterday, depends which time zone you're in. :0) Praying all will remain calm, for their safety and for you moms/GF's, too.

Hello everyone! I am new here...my boyfriend is a sailor on the USS Fitzgerald...im here because I am worried :(...after they had returned from 2 months in the water last month(we spent time together upon his return), he was to be sent on a mission off ship a week later. while communicating via email(him from the ship) a few days before his departure, email goes down(which i know happens at times). So, I havent heard from him now for 3 weeks...and didnt get a chance to say bye before he left on the mission...so now im super worried, I keep telling myself im sure he is fine but, I do not know his status and now with whats going on in Korea....its so tough not knowing if he is ok??? Well.....I am very happy to find this site and community, I appreciate anyones advice...thank you!
