OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My son said that the exercises are supposed to be over for Christmas stand down but who knows with what is going on in Korea. Go to google and sign up for Google alerts for the USS Fitzgerald. You will get those and anything else that has Fitzgerald in the name but it is well worth it to hear about the ship.

Candles are lit and prayers going up for 7th fleet. May He hold them in the palm of His hand.

Happy Thanksgiving to all, I am grateful to be working on the holiday. I am grateful for all of you.
