Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Believe me I know exactly what you mean. When I read that about the South Koreans the first thing I thought was-Oh no the Fitz is heading back to that area. Not a great feeling when you know a ship was already sunk there, too.

The 7th fleet is all over. I know one ship is in Hong Kong for a port call, two or three others from the 7th fleet are helping the South Koreans, and the Fitz is in a tropical port now.

Don't know where they are either. Shellback is when the sailor crosses the equator for the first time. Look up shellback on you tube and you will see what kind of funny things they do to the sailors that are the shellbacks.

The USS Fitzgerald has gotten the Battle "E" three years in a row. It's a great ship to be on! My son said that he will be a shellback on this cruise if orders don't change. Don't know how long your sons have been out to sea but if they have not crossed the equator then they will be shellbacks on this cruise, too.

I'm not sure how to get the info out. Not sure where I saw you started the group but you should post it on the Yokosuka group, the Japan group, and the destroyer group. Hopefully, with postings on all three more people will show up.
