Although there still hasn't been a local alert of any kind, I did just get an email from my OMBUDSMAN letting us know the projected wave activity time here would not be til around 1:15PM our time, if anything. So at least everyone should be well awake and hopefully will have contacted you by then to let you know they are safe and well.

Oh yes, we are just about all along the shore, except those living on Nimitz Hill which is a higher up, inland evacuation route. They are describing the unusually calm water around Hawaii now and I can tell you ours is still very normal from what I could see. I literally drove along the shore to take DH to his ship. I will keep you informed.

I have been watching CNN and the local channels here on Guam. The local channel is just starting to talk about the concern for Hawaii. He hasn't talked about concern for us yet. No breakthrough alert messages or anything. Just drove husband to his ship for work and he promised to call me with news.

We are fine here so far! I am on Big Navy and about to drive husband to USS Frank Cable for his normal shift. We have the news here, but since it is the weekend your sailors may just be sleeping. (It is 6:30AM here) I will keep you informed. I am sure it would have to hit Hawaii first- I pray not. There are many hills/ mountains here and very clearly signed tsunami routes. We would have fair warning as the military knows before the news does when there is cause for alarm and they have not yet sounded any alarms or broken through on the news yet. The island is quite prepared for this type of challenge due to military/ technology and planned routes. Just want you to know all is well so far.
