OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Cute gift idea! Df didn't use his HOR, so he is sending for his toolbox, which is in my storage unit. I don't know how handy he is with a car though! :)

Thank you Brenda. Ladies, you are wonderful. It is such a comfort to have some ties when dealing with an overseas transition! You don't know anyone or anything and you save us from the hard-knocks-on-the-chin-lessons.

You know what Lindsey, I thought that buying from someone leaving base/ fellow military would be best too. He just wasn't sure where to go. So thanks for that tip. Do you know where he can find the base newspaper? Are they just all over? I told him to look for a corkboard in the "cafeteria" (I need to learn the lingo!)

Hello all! I am new here in this group. I finally asked DF what ship he was on! My DF arrived at USS Frank a few weeks ago. He loves Guam, although he is being met with challenges, lol! If anyone knows someone selling a car let me know! He is tired of walking and riding his bike everywhere!

My daughter said that the rain was normal-the wind was stronger than usual-but they got through it fine.

They say in the Navy It's full of adventure. You know those kids adrenaline is so high right now. Those officier are grinning from ear to ear, just to see how these kids are reacting. Not that they aren't concern for the safety point(they are). You know how kids get excited when it snows.
