tee hee- hilarious! no worries- he just knows you are thinking about him and wanna know he is safe! i remember when he first left for guam I drove him to the airport and we promptly lost his cell phone during the drive there! at the airport the lady was insisting on seeing his orders, which he thought was something entirely different from the yellow envelope he was told not to open! he finally realized it must be in there, but not before my worrying set in about how the rest of the commute would go. --Seven days later-- I decide to send a email to his sponsor on the off chance he could tell me my fiance made it ok. It was the only link I had. Well, I heard from him within a half hour later from the ship after they set up an email address for him! When he arrived on Guam, he immediately was sent underway, and promptly got sick. Knowing nothing about military email and not feeling comfortable asking anyone, he figured he'd have to ride it out til their return. From that point forward we could pretty much "chat" back and forth by email and just wait for the other end to respond. I am glad I kept that guys email.

The last email I got was from thursday at 11 pm. So it must have been down for a while. The girl from his shop said it might take a couple days to come back up. :( how annoying.

I got it taken care of via facebook! Thank god for me having his password. One of the girls in his shop told me he is freaking out, he lost the sim card he bought last night to call me and the email is down. He knew I would be freaking out. She is going to buy a sim card and deliver it to him <3 nice people.

I am with you luvinmatt, mines good with communication too so I knew something was up. Thanks for letting me know the emails been down. If you need, I am sure my hubs would help with the sim- just haven't heard from him. You can PM me his info and if I do hear from him I will make sure they connect on the ship. Lol, Britt, I am the same way. And yes I got spoiled by the nightly emails or calls in Hong Kong.

That is what we were hoping for too. This is our 7th year of  sea duty!  Ack the detailer was like it is like shore duty it will be ok lmao. Sure dude sure. This is not shore duty in any way for of fashion. I am sad we got sucked in. I am pretty pissed off right now but since there is nothing I can do right now I am gonna go swimming.

And to anyone who has actually talked to your husband and would go buy mine a sim card so I can yell at him I would be eternally grateful lol. The sims are like 8 bucks and I will pay you.

It is a rumor. They are still sending people. My friends husband just left 2 weeks ago. The Land is broken right now anyway so they are just chilling in Bahrain  for the forseeable future. I guess a positive about him going to the Land is they have wi fi on the mess decks so no excuse for not calling home. They still have him on the schedule and sent him to one of the training things before they left for PI. I am hoping somehow it will get cancelled but probably not. And yeah we were told the same thing about the ships movements. Lies Lies Lies.

Nah I think the same thing. I am like they are going just to go at this point which pisses me off because my dh has to go to Diego in Sept. Everyone told him he was not supposed to have to go and lo and behold he is gone. Make me very angry.
